I am on a mission to get us some bottles printed up for the summer season and have had some samples through this morning from bottlepsort.com

Choices of design I have opted for are as follows:
http://i535.photobucket.com/albums/ee356/hottaperimeter/rollabottles001.jpg

close ups as follows:

http://i535.photobucket.com/albums/ee356/hottaperimeter/rollabottles002.jpg
http://i535.photobucket.com/albums/ee356/hottaperimeter/rollabottles003.jpg
http://i535.photobucket.com/albums/ee356/hottaperimeter/rollabottles004.jpg

I prefer the white wide neck for the 500ml option and the larger white 750 with standard neck not sure if they do a 750 in a wide nieck need to check.

I found the small neck black bottle a very very tight fit in all the various cages I have and in some pinched the bottom!! oooh eeeer misses

So what do people think???

Need some colour choices either white with red top or black with red top??? What would you like pirnted on he bottles....the 750 has a nice strip space that can be used at the top of bottle on neck....
When replying can you indicate how many you would be interested in buying..............

I will then be able to get some prices sorted out

Posted on behalf of the Saturday ride Captain, Will:

The regular club run is meant to be a fun, nice paced ride that makes the most out of saturday mornings. There are three 'core' rides but these will be chopped and changed on the day given the weather and levels of motivation. The aim is to be back by 1300 but depends on the weather...etc.

NORTH. Starting at Pond Square and going out for a north loop of about 70miles. a few ups and downs but pretty much the whole route is on lanes.

EAST. Starting at corner of Lea Bridge rd and Chatsworth road. This rides proves essex is not flat by going around in circles in Epping Forest then going out in the country for a loop and back again.

SOUTH. Starting at London Bridge (south side next to Evans) and picking people up at Cafe Saint Germain. The route varies but usually takes in chalk pit lane and includes as many steep hard hills as possible. There is nothing wrong with training it home from Anerly.

This is a social ride and we welcome new riders and won't drop anyone but there are some rules :)

- No one will get dropped (providing they are riding safe and following the rules...)

- The aim is to keep a good consistent pace in a tight group. If the pace is too high then tell someone, if the pace is too low then get on the front and increase the pace (through do this gradually to allow other riders to get on your wheel)

- When riding in a group talk to other riders (call bump, hole, slowing...etc) , this doesn't need to be yelled but needs to be clear

- There are a lot of drivers out there who are angry, so we don't need to be angry as well

- The group passes on the outside and you drop off on the inside, this is the opposite to the track but works better for the safety of the riders.

- Please try to match everything, as George says, "a true reflection of the rider's willingness (or lack thereof) to adhere to basic tenets of style."

- Enjoy!

There was a good showing last week*, so would be good if we can keep the numbers on on a regular basis.

Meet 7.30pm @ Gloucester Gate, done by 8.30pm.
1. Georgios
2. Olivier
3.

*The average pace was about 20mph*, though maintaining a good pace-line with regular rotation is, I think it's fair to say, more important for those of us who may be riding the TTT than outright speed (that's my excuse, anyway). There was a natural split last time after the first couple of laps, with the faster group going off at just over 20mph ave. and the slower one at just under 20mph ave. And yes we do stop at red.

So here is the new road racing thread for this year. Use it to tell us about races you are intending to go to, and to write up all those exciting race reports.

Last year, I found the prospect of actually turning up on the line a little daunting, but the thread for last year got me over that hump. Once I had managed that, I was hooked. So if you haven't tried it before and are interested, then hang out here and speak to some of those who have. The chances are it will be less 'difficult' than you imagine. If you have raced before, tell us how it's done, and how much fun there is to be had.

Here is the thread for last year: http://www.rollapaluza.cc/forum/comments.php?DiscussionID=524&page=1

Below I have started a calendar with some of the races happening at the three circuits I was going to last year; Hillingdon (west London), Crystal Palace (south) and Hog Hill (east). Feel free to add to it as you wish.

Good luck and happy racing this year.

Feb 2011
Sat 5th - Hillingdon: Imperial Winter Series (4 & 3 & E123) from 1300
Sat 12th - Hillingdon: Imperial Winter Series (4 & 3 & E123) from 1300
Sat 26th - Redbridge: San Fairy Ann Spring Circuit Races 01 (4 & 3/4 & E123) from 1200

March
Sat 5th - Redbridge: San Fairy Ann Spring Circuit Races 01 (4 & 3/4 & E123) from 1200

April
Sat 23rd - Redbridge: SERRL Summer Series 7 (3/4 & E123) from 1300
Tues 26th - Crystal Palace Cycle League 1 (Youth & 3/4 & E12 & Women) from 1830

May
Tues 3rd - Crystal Palace Cycle League 2 (Youth & 3/4 & E12 & Women)
Sat 7th - Redbridge: SERRL Summer Series 7 (3/4 & E123) from 1300
Tues 10th - Crystal Palace Cycle League 3 (Youth & 3/4 & E12 & Women) from 1830
Thurs 12th - Redbridge: Hog Hill Summer League Circuit Races 1 (3/4 & E12 & Women) from 1915
Tues 17th - Crystal Palace Cycle League 4 (Youth & 3/4 & E12 & Women) from 1830
Thurs 19th - Redbridge: Hog Hill Summer League Circuit Races 2 (3/4 & E12 & Women) from 1915
Tues 24th - Crystal Palace Cycle League 5 (Youth & 3/4 & E12 & Women) from 1830
Thurs 26th - Redbridge: Hog Hill Summer League Circuit Races 3 (3/4 & E12 & Women) from 1915
Tues 31st - Crystal Palace Cycle League 6 (Youth & 3/4 & E12 & Women) from 1830

June
Thurs 2nd - Redbridge: Hog Hill Summer League Circuit Races 4 (3/4 & E12 & Women) from 1915
Tues 7th - Crystal Palace Cycle League 7 (Youth & 3/4 & E12 & Women) from 1830
Thurs 9th - Redbridge: Hog Hill Summer League Circuit Races 5 (3/4 & E12 & Women) from 1915
Tues 14th - Crystal Palace Cycle League 8 (Youth & 3/4 & E12 & Women) from 1830
Thurs 16th - Redbridge: Hog Hill Summer League Circuit Races 6 (3/4 & E12 & Women) from 1915
Sat 18th - Redbridge: Cycle Centre Circuit Races 1 (3/4 & E123) from 1415
Tues 21st - Crystal Palace Cycle League 9 (Youth & 3/4 & E12 & Women) from 1830
Thurs 23rd - Redbridge: Hog Hill Summer League Circuit Races 7 (3/4 & E12 & Women) from 1915
Sat 25th - Redbridge: Cycle Centre Circuit Races 2 (3/4 & E123) from 1415
Tues 28th - Crystal Palace Cycle League 10 (Youth & 3/4 & E12 & Women) from 1830
Thurs 30th - Redbridge: Hog Hill Summer League Circuit Races 8 (3/4 & E12 & Women) from 1915

July
Sat 2nd - Redbridge: Cycle Centre Circuit Races 3 (3/4 & E123) from 1415
Tues 5th - Crystal Palace Cycle League 11 (Youth & 3/4 & E12 & Women) from 1830
Thurs 7th - Redbridge: Hog Hill Summer League Circuit Races 9 (3/4 & E12 & Women) from 1915
Sat 9th - Redbridge: Cycle Centre Circuit Races 4 (3/4 & E123) from 1415
Tues 12th - Crystal Palace Cycle League 12 (Youth & 3/4 & E12 & Women) from 1830
Thurs 14th - Redbridge: Hog Hill Summer League Circuit Races 10 (3/4 & E12 & Women) from 1915
Tues 19th - Crystal Palace Cycle League 13 (Youth & 3/4 & E12 & Women) from 1830
Thurs 21st - Redbridge: Hog Hill Summer League Circuit Races 11 (3/4 & E12 & Women) from 1915
Tues 26th - Crystal Palace Cycle League 14 (Youth & 3/4 & E12 & Women) from 1830
Thurs 28th - Redbridge: Hog Hill Summer League Circuit Races 12 (3/4 & E12 & Women) from 1915

August
Tues 2nd - Crystal Palace Cycle League 15 (Youth & 3/4 & E12 & Women) from 1830
Thurs 4th - Redbridge: Hog Hill Summer League Circuit Races 13 (3/4 & E12 & Women) from 1915
Tues 9th - Crystal Palace Cycle League 16 (Youth & 3/4 & E12 & Women) from 1830
Tues 16th - Crystal Palace Cycle League 17 (Youth & 3/4 & E12 & Women) from 1830

September
?

October
?

You can use this thread to have a single post containing your TT calendar for the year - just edit the same post as and when you send off new entries, change your mind about entering, or get results, etc.

It would be good if at least the beginning of the thread consisted of TTers' 'official' slots, and any random posting was kept below all that. So it might be worth getting your 'holding post' added to the discussion now.

Cut & paste from my post below to copy the format.

Perhaps ride reports can be put in separate threads... and cross-posted to the main club site too.

Having this info here might also make life easier when filling in entry forms :)

 Dear Sir/ Madam,

I am currently completing my masters thesis at the University of Roehampton and require volunteers!

I am investigating the effects of chocolate milk after exercise on subsequent 20km time trial performance. I require male trained cyclists, aged 18-55 yrs with a minimum of 2 years training experience.

In return for your participation you will recieve a VO2 max test, aerobic peak power and onset of blood lactate data.

If you could advertise this to memebers and potential interested subjects, I would be extremely grateful.

I look forward to your reply,

Kind regards,

James Earle

earle(at)roehampton.ac.uk
o77o8423o71

Thread to organise the spring kit order.

Issues to cover include:

1. Volunteers to help organise.
- I am happy to do this.

2. Getting confirmation that the current lists are accurate.
- Can we send out an email to all members notifying that there is a kit order to take place in Spring, and asking for confirmation of orders?

3. Getting cash for orders.
- Have we asked for this up front in the past? Is there a Rollapaluza account it can be held in, or does it get paid into a private account (e.g. the kit order organisers?)

4. Placing order.
- What is the process for doing this?

5. Social to distribute the kit.
- As discussed, we think the best way to distribute the new kit would be with a social, so when this is up and running perhaps we could organise an event at LMNH?

 Greetings Everyone,

(You may have seen this post already on LFGSS)

I am a longstanding CC member and often read posts requesting injury advice and contacts for Physiotherapists with an interest in cycling. Well I am one such Physiotherapist. As well as commuting I ride regular Sportives around the country and occasionally venture onto the rollers. It can be frustrating seeking treatment for sports-specific complaints and I would like to offer my services to fellow CC members. I would like to use this thread to offer injury prevention and management advice to members and would also like to offer reduced cost Physiotherapy Assessments.

I work privately with the Complete Physio Group (www.complete-physio.co.uk) who have sites across North and Central London. We are a team of experienced Musculoskeletal clinicians who have all worked in a range of high level sports.

I would like to offer Rollapaluza CC members 30min assessments for just £30 (perfect for the assessment of acute complaints) or conventional 45min assessments for just £40.

If you have any special requirements or wish to book an appointment please 'Whisper' me a PM. Alternatively you can call Complete Physio on 0207 482 3875 quoting 'CYCLIST' to book your reduced rate appointment with me.

I look forward to your queries and posts.

Regards,

Michael (aka Bluerip)
Chartered Physiotherapist
