I’ve been corresponding with Dom Mason, the creative director and designer at Kinesis UK, and he’s been kind enough to give us a mention on the company website. Already the happy owner of one of their audax/winter trainer frames - the Racelight T - they were high on my list when I recently considered putting together something a bit sportier (and geared) for summer riding and hillclimbing competitions.

The finished item has already been posted on the club forum, and in typical Kinesis style, Dom has continued to pay attention to my feedback since road-testing the bike. More proof that you often get better value for money, and more attention to detail by supporting smaller companies, particularly if they’re tuned in to the needs of the British market.

Dom’s quite excited by niche events, so who knows, we might get him along to a roller event soon for some of the 200+rpm action…
